Netflix’s recent sci-fi movie has drawn comparisons to the hit series, Stranger Things. It’s a summer flick for viewers of all ages considering its kid-centric focus. The movie is directed by McG who is best known for his work on Charlie’s Angels, The O.C., Chuck, and Supernatural.

The movie centers on three young teens–Alex (Gore), ZhenZhen (Cech), and Dariush (Flores Jr.)–that attend a summer camp called Rim of the World. While on a trip to the lake, they meet Gabriel (Scalzotto) just as aliens invade the area. During the commotion, the kids are left at the lake but they find a crashed capsule from the International Space Station. The kids then get their hands on a key that holds the information about how to stop the alien invasion.

The group embarks on an important mission into the city to deliver the information. While on the journey, they begin to learn more about each other, but more importantly, they learn more about themselves. Despite their differences, they work together as everyone’s life depends on their mission.
