Everyone has their favorite characters from Stranger Things, and one of my favorites is Steve. Let’s take a look at 5 best Steve moments.

I’m a big sucker for bad boy characters who want to become better for the girls they love. And Steve Harrington is a great example, but there’s one thing that’s different about him than most of those characters.

Even though he doesn’t get the girl, he doesn’t go back to his old ways. He accepted and told Nancy that it’s ok that she doesn’t want to be with him, and then he continued on his path to be a better person. I’m going to hold onto hope for Stancy until the very end (sorry Jancy fans), even though I think that ship has sailed. But a girl can only hope!

Dustin is also one of my favorite characters, and Steve has definitely grown on me since the first season because of his relationship with Dustin. Their newfound friendship makes these two the perfect duo. Also, we don’t know why Dustin’s dad isn’t in the picture, so it’s nice for him to have father-figure in his life. Steve wasn’t a favorite of mine in season 1, but his character development in the second season and becoming a parent to a group of kids has really changed him.

Steve has had some great scenes, especially in season 2. Let’s take a look back at the five best Steve moments from Stranger Things.

Steve gives Dustin advice

As Dustin and Steve are walking along the train tracks to put out bait for Dart, Dustin confides in Steve that he kept his dangerous pet to impress Max. Steve goes on to give him girl advice; act like you don’t care, wait for the electricity and with special girls, you need to be a ninja.

Steve wants to make sure Dustin isn’t falling in love with her because “she’s only going to break your heart and you’re too young for that.” Aw, Steve. Someone give him a hug.

And then to cheer Dustin up a bit, he tells him the secret to his flawless hair: four pumps of Farrah Fawcett hairspray when the hair is damp – not wet, damp! And Dustin takes his advice (and looks great!) as we see in the next moment.

Steve drives Dustin to the Snowball

My all-time favorite Steve/Steve and Dustin moment is when he gives him a ride to the Snowball. The usually confident Dustin is second-guessing himself and checking to make sure he looks good. Of course, he looks good, he styled his hair with Farrah Fawcett hairspray!

Steve reassures him he looks great and gives him a boost of confidence, telling him to go in there looking like a million bucks. I love that he drove Dustin to the Snowball and is now the support for him. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. The Steve and Dustin friendship was so unexpected but one of my favorite things about this show.
