New on Netflix in July 2019: Stranger Things 3 and more

The list of what’s new on Netflix in July 2019, including Stranger Things 3, Orange is the New Black season 7 and much more!

July is right around the corner, and that means there are some big new shows and movies on Netflix on the way. Stranger Things 3 and Orange is the New Black season 7 headline the list of what’s new on Netflix in July 2019.

Stranger Things 3 is obviously the biggest Netflix new release of the month. It’s also the biggest TV show to be released this July. If not for The Lion King and Spider-Man: Far From Home, Stranger Things 3 would be the biggest thing in entertainment for the whole month! It still might be bigger than those two movies, though it’ll be close.

The new season premieres on Netflix on July 4 and is set in the summer of 1985 on or around the Fourth of July. We still don’t know a lot about what’s to come specifically in the new season, but it looks like it’s going to be epic!

The whole main cast from season 2 is back (for the most part), including Millie Bobby Brown, David Harbour, Winona Ryder, Finn Wolfhard, Caleb McLaughlin, Gaten Matarazzo, Noah Schnapp, Joe Keery, Natalia Dyer, Sadie Sink, Charlie Heaton and Dacre Montgomery.

Priah Ferguson, who plays Lucas’s sister, also has a more prominent role in the new season. And, we get to meet a few new characters, too, played by Cary Elwes, Maya Hawke, Francesca Reale, and Jake Busey.

Orange is the New Black season 7 is also coming to Netflix in July. The season premieres on Netflix on July 26, almost exactly one year after season 6 premiered on the streaming service. Unfortunately for fans of the series, season 7 is also the final season of the series. Netflix’s first big show is ending in July, that’s right.

It seems like just yesterday Orange is the New Black premiered on Netflix and helped launch the streaming network into original TV and movie production. Without Orange is the New Black, I think it’s safe to say we’d never have had the opportunity to watch great shows like Stranger Things and the other great Netflix originals.

In addition to Stranger Things and Orange is the New Black, we’ll also see the new season of Money Heist, aka La Casa de Papel, on July 19. That’s another series everyone needs to check out!

We also highly recommend watching Another Life, a new Netflix original sci-fi series starring Katee Sackhoff, when it hits Netflix on July 25. And, fan favorite Australian series, Wentworth, is back with season 7 on July 31!

It’s not only about the new TV shows in July, though. There are some awesome new movies on the way to the streaming service in the new month, including Disney’s Mary Poppins Returns on July 9. Disney’s The Princess and the Frog hits Netflix on July 15, and Croods hits the streaming service on July 29.
