Will Byers: Artist

What other way is Will going to express his trauma and the crazy things that keep happening to him than drawing them?

Since he already loves to draw, it makes sense that he would become an artist when he grows up. This could mean he ends up being a graphic designer, sells his pieces at a gallery, or draws comics professionally.

It seems like Joyce and Johnathan support him with his art, too, which always helps when growing a passion into a career.

Imagine the stories he could tell about what he and his friends have been through! He’s been kidnapped and taken to the Upside-Down, he’s been rescued and then figured out he was still being controlled by the Mind Flayer. His comics would certainly be original.

While no one from outside Hawkins may believe what happened to him, he could make a killing off of telling those stories through his art. If we want to get really meta, he could draw a comic of what happened to him and then have it be turned into a television show!

And with season 3 coming up, it looks like Will and his friends are in for another adventure. It’ll definitely be interesting to see how Will comes to terms with his past trauma and how he grows up.

If anyone needs to see a therapist on this show, Will should be number one on that list. And what better way to work through it all than getting all his complicated emotions out than drawing and creating something?
