Jonathan: Photographer

While Jonathan’s photography in season 1 was the height of creepy, he learned his lesson and will turn it into a career. One of his most famous lines from the series shows how much he appreciates the art of photography.

"“Sometimes, people don’t really say what they’re really thinking. When you capture the right moment, it says more.”"

The dude clearly likes to take pictures. He could use it as an outlet to get out his angst and his feelings, because while there are plenty of stressed-out people on the show, Jonathan might be the worst. He has had a lot to worry about over the past two seasons.

First, it was that Will was missing. Then it was that his mom was possibly losing her mind, along with the fact that he was being bullied by Steve and his friends. Then he had to fight off the freaking Demogorgon and search for answers with Nancy to find out what was happening at the lab and why Will wasn’t better yet.

The dude needs a break and what better way than his favorite pastime of taking pictures. He could use his photos to expose the truth either in an artistic way or for a newspaper as a photojournalist.

He has some ability as an investigator and taking pictures can reveal a lot of truth. He could call out corrupt corporations or expose specific people harming others through his photographs. He did it for Will and Barb (with help from Nancy); why couldn’t he do it for a newspaper or an online news site?

He clearly has a strong moral compass and using his photography to make the world a better place would be a great way to use his talent.
