Is Rocketman coming to Netflix?

Rocketman has certainly impressed both audiences and critics. Taron Egerton has impressed all, most of all for his singing abilities as well as his amazing performance as Elton John. Now fans want to be able to watch the movie through streaming. Will Rocketman come to Netflix?

Unfortunately, the answer is no, Rocketman is not coming to Netflix. Unless contracts change — and that likely won’t be the case for a few years — Rocketman is not going to be on Netflix.

As a Paramount Pictures movie, the Elton John biopic will head to Amazon Prime Video and Hulu in the future. This is where all Paramount movies head, usually about 12 months after the theatrical release. While this could change in the future, it’s not changing right now.

It’s understandable why you’re looking for the answers to this question, though. This movie has gained high praise from both critics and audiences. In fact, it’s currently Certified Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes, with an 89% critic score and 88% audience score. Egerton’s singing, which isn’t quite Elton John’s voice and that makes this work, is the highlight for many. Yes, he is singing, which beats Rami Malek’s lip-syncing in Bohemian Rhapsody.

Even though you can’t get it on Netflix to stream, you will be able to rent through the DVD service eventually. There’s no date for the DVD and Blu-ray release just yet, but it’s predicted to be in August or September 2019 since most Paramount Pictures movies take about three or four months to be released on DVD and Blu-ray.

Rocketman is still out in theaters right now.
