One Day at a Time

One Day at a Time season 3 premiered on Netflix earlier this year, and a few months later, they canceled the series instead of renewing this great show for season 4.

One Day at a Time is a reimagination of Norman Lear’s classic sitcom. This story, developed by Mike Royce and Gloria Kellett Calderon, premiered on Netflix in 2017, and it ran for three seasons on the streaming network.

The story revolves around the Alvarez family led by matriarch Penelope, played by Justina Machado, and her mother Lydia, played by Rita Moreno. The show also focuses on Penelope’s teenaged kids, Elena and Alex.

One Day at a Time’s cancellation was not much of a surprise. The creators were giving fans updates about the show’s status, and it wasn’t looking good. Netflix needed more fans to watch the series, according to their statement on the cancellation.

It is crazy this show was canceled considering how good it was, though. One Day at a Time is one of the best-reviewed Netflix shows of all time and it only lasted three seasons on the streaming service. Unfortunately, that’s part of the business.

One Day at a Time is must-see TV on Netflix. If you need something to watch, make sure you check it out on the streaming service. And, it sounds like there’s still a chance this show could end up on another network, but Netflix has to sign off on it.

We’ll let you know more about the future of this great series.
