18. The End of the F***ing World

This series focuses on two 17-year old “outcasts” that run away together across England. However, the boy, James, is a psychopath and wants to try killing a human. Alyssa, his partner in the run-away, is a rebellious teen with tumultuous home life. A series of irregular events and the two grow closer as they see the similarities in each other beginning to reveal their connection.

The critically acclaimed show wowed audiences and showed a real adventure with two troubled teens. It was also nominated for a Primetime Emmy as well as BAFTA award for Best Drama. The show gives off comedic vibes but also serious undertones dealing with family, romance, and teenage angst.

Again, Netflix is capitalizing on its audiences binge-watching these series. Moreso than just re-watching classics like Friends or The Office, the audiences are looking for those hidden gems in the catalog.
