20. Atypical season 3

Atypical will also be back later this year with its third season. Atypical follows the Gardener family. There is Sam, who starts off the series as an 18-year-old high school student who is on the autistic spectrum. He has a protective younger sister, Casey, his mom, Elsa, and father, Doug.

The third season will most likely continue with Casey examining her romantic feeling for Izzie, her new friend at school, but will she break up with her boyfriend, Evan, first? She already almost kissed Izzie, so it’s clear they have some chemistry. It would be a shame for the show to end on the cliffhanger Casey getting into a relationship with a girl, only for Casey to stay with Evan.

We will also see Sam adapting to university life. At the end of season 2, he applied to college with encouragement from his therapist and ended up getting into Denton University’s Illustration course. It will definitely be interesting to see the friends he makes, how he adapts to the new environment, and how he does in his classes.

Sam and Casey also have to deal with their parent’s split and what that means for them and their lives. They may be grown up, but parents separating is always a big deal, especially when the cause is the mother, Elsa, having an affair.

Atypical stars Jennifer Jason Leigh, Keir Gilchrist, Brigette Lundy-Paine, Amy Okuda, Michael Rapaport, and Nik Dodani. While there is no set date for the premiere, based on the release date of the last two seasons, it will most likely be sometime this fall.
