Peaky Blinders season 5

5. Peaky Blinders season 5

What will Tommy and his family be up to in season 5 of Peaky Blinders? It can’t be anything good, but that’s why we love the show so much, right?

In season 4, after getting rid of Alfie Solomons and Luca Changretta, Tommy finally had a chance to take a break from the business. But if you believed that would actually happen, you haven’t watched the show before.

Tommy got about a three-month break, but his mental health issues started to get in his way. Tommy has always self-medicated and worked himself to the bone to forget about what happened in the war and what happened to Grace, and with nothing to do, it all came back.

Polly, of course, tried to get him help, and it ended up with him getting into touch with Jessie Eden. But Tommy put his trust in the wrong people. It was all a trick to get him into the Communist party and to ensure the government not interfere with them.

But Tommy used it to his advantage and tells the King’s secretary he can tell him all the people who are party members.  But to give up those names, he wanted to become an MP. Tommy is nothing if not power hungry, and he got the position.

Season 5 will pick up after the 1929 stock market crash. As an MP, Tommy is approached by a politician who is looking to bring his vision to Britain and for Tommy to help him. Whether Tommy helps him or not will not only affect Tommy’s family but could affect the nation.

The show’s creator also talked about the main antagonists being a gang named “The Billy Boys” who are from Glasgow. While it was rumored the show would go to America, it has been confirmed that isn’t true.

A release date hasn’t been set quite yet,  but if the new season comes out in 2019, it will most likely be closer to the end of the year.
