Cards on the table, it’s currently unconfirmed if the Zookeeper movie coming to Netflix at the end of June is the middling Kevin James comedy or an independent foreign film from 2001. Sometimes mix-ups about the upcoming new releases arise when there are different adaptations or multiple movies with the same title. You can almost never be sure until the movie begins streaming. But we’re going to assume the more popular of the two will be one of the month’s best new releases.

Kevin James stars in Zookeeper as Griffin Keyes, a kindhearted caretaker at the Franklin Park Zoo. However, the strong relationship he shares with his animals pales in comparison to that of human women. Griffin can’t seem to talk to women, leading to a lackluster love life. He resolves to find a better job in order to get a girlfriend, which forces the animals to reveal their ability to communicate. The animals want to keep Griffin around, so they teach him a thing or two about love.

Zookeeper comes from director Frank Coraci, who also directed such movies as The Wedding Singer, Click, Here Comes the Boom, Blended, and The Ridiculous 6. The film holds a 14% on Rotten Tomatoes, which is less impressive than its box office earnings of $169.8 million against an $80 million budget. Kevin James fans will certainly want to enjoy diving back into this family-friendly comedy from the comedy, provided that it’s the Zookeeper that will be streaming on Netflix this month. Check your watch list on June 26 for the definitive answer!
