16. Adam DeVine: Best Time of Our Lives

Release Year: 2019

Starring: Adam DeVine

Release Date: Tuesday, June 18

Even though stand-up comedy specials aren’t movies, we’d be remiss not to include some of the month’s best Netflix originals. Each month, the streamer releases a couple of comedy specials from top-tier talents that are simply unmissable.

From Amy Schumer to Ellen DeGeneres, all of the biggest names have brought the funny to Netflix and changed the way we consume comedy. They have opened the door for more comedians, like Adam DeVine, to headline their own Netflix original comedy specials.

Adam DeVine: Best Time of Our Lives finds Workaholics and Pitch Perfect star Adam DeVine riffing on all of the funniest and most relatable aspects of growing up. In the special, DeVine breaks down topics such as puberty, parental judgment, and the near-fatal perils of turning 21, all of which he has surely experienced firsthand. DeVine performs his set in front of a sold-out crowd in his hometown of Omaha, Nebraska at The Orpheum Theater.

DeVine most recently starred alongside Pitch Perfect co-star Rebel Wilson in the romantic comedy parody Isn’t It Romantic? and can also be seen in the Netflix original films When We First Me and Game, Over, Man! He most notably starred in Comedy Central’s Workaholics and provided a regular voice role in Cartoon Network’s Uncle Grandpa. He’ll next be seen in the Disney+ film Magic Camp, but you must make sure to catch his hilarious first Netflix comedy special, Best Time of Our Lives, when it makes its big premiere this June.
