Stranger Things 3 star David Harbour teased the new season features an “unexpected” and “moving” finale, according to reports from MCM Comic-Con.

Stranger Things star David Harbour is teasing an “unexpected” and “moving” Stranger Things 3 finale, according to a report from Digital Spy. Harbour made the comments about the new season of Stranger Things at MCM Comic-Con.

We still don’t know much about the new season of Stranger Things, but we’re starting to hear more and more from the cast.

Harbour didn’t just stop there. He also added that the season finale was the “most moving thing we’ve ever shot,” according to the report.

Considering the big, emotional scenes we’ve seen in Stranger Things so far, Harbour is teasing something bigger, and I’m really, really hoping that it’s moving in a good way. There are a lot of bad things that can happen in Stranger Things 3, and I don’t know if I’m totally ready for that on July 4.

More. One problem could derail Stranger Things 3. light

Here’s Harbour’s full comment on the topic, via Digital Spy:

"“His daughter is becoming a teenager and beginning to find herself, so that’s scarier for Hopper than any Demogorgon creature that he’s going to have to deal with.“You get to see a lot of that throughout the season and it’s very unexpected what happens in the end and it’s very, very moving. I think episode eight is the most moving thing we’ve ever shot.”"

We learned recently from the Duffer Brothers, the creators of the series, that Stranger Things 3 is all about change and exploring how these characters start to grow up the summer before high school. As these characters mature at different rates and explore different things, the potential to grow apart is there, and it looks like that’s already happening in the Stranger Things 3 trailer.

More from Stranger Things

Hopefully, our heroes will be able to work out their differences and move forward, but there is a lot of shared history. With hormones and emotions thrown into the mix, anything is on the table in the new season.

Harbour addressed that at MCM Comic-Con, too, and it sounds like it’s not just the younger characters who will be growing up. Hopper, as a new father to Eleven, has to learn to let go and allow his daughter to live her life. That won’t be easy for him. And, I’m expecting a similar storyline for Joyce with Will in Stranger Things 3.

In Stranger Things 2, we saw Joyce trying to give her son space to grow, but it was very hard for her. I imagine that trauma she’s been living and dealing with for the last few years will continue to manifest itself over the next season and probably into future seasons.

Stranger Things 3 premieres on July 4! Stay tuned for more news about the series!
