Outlander season 1 and 2 are coming to Netflix at midnight

Sassanechs, rejoice! The first two seasons of Outlander are headed to Netflix at midnight tonight!

Outlander is heading to Netflix U.S., folks! Yes, that’s right my fellow Sassanechs. Now, Netflix subscribers will be able to see the time-traveling romance, well at least the first two seasons anyway. Prior to this, fans could only watch the series via DVD/Blu-ray or if they are a STARZ subscriber, but now finally the series is making a home for itself on Netflix.

This is very exciting news all around as the Outlander fandom is one of the fiercest and most passionate amongst them all. And if you’ve never seen the series, then this is your time to see what it’s all about. Trust me when I say, you’ll fall in love from the very first episode.

The official Netflix Family account tweeted the announcement back in April, prepping mothers everywhere to fall in love. And fall in love they shall, because has everyone seen Sam Heughan on this show? Just saying.

So when will be able to start watching Outlander seasons one and two for the first or fifth time? The hit series will start streaming on May 27 at 12 AM PST (3 AM EST)–sorry East Coasters! Mark your calendars, highlight it, star it, do whatever you have to do to remind yourself of this very exciting day.

The push to bring Outlander to Netflix may be for many reasons, but the biggest one is that it will reach a bigger audience as a result. Many have not seen the show (yeah, I can’t believe it either), so with it being available on Netflix, it will certainly cast a wider audience net. In turn, it may eventually bring more subscribers to STARZ, especially considering that only the first two seasons will be streaming on Netflix.

Whatever the reasoning may be, I am super excited about this move, and I can’t wait for people to see what the hype is all about!
