7. Will Dan and Ella finally learn the truth?

We nearly have a full list of main characters who know the truth about Lucifer. The only two people still to find out the truth are Dan and Ella. Is this going to change in the fifth season.

I love that Lucifer has never hidden who he really is. From the very beginning, he’s told people exactly who he is and what he’s up to. Humans just choose not to believe him and we saw that with when he told Ella the full truth once more during the fourth season.

With the Devil now gone, there are going to be plenty of questions. Chloe could just tell them that he’s “returned home” or “he’s away on business” and she wouldn’t exactly be telling them a lie. However, I can’t help but feel like it’s time for at least either Ella or Dan to finally learn the full truth and believe it all.

I’m not sure which character I’d like to see find out the full truth first. Maybe Ella since she was the one that went through the crisis of faith and deserves to finally learn that everyone is there and God really has been a useless dad from the very beginning and she wants to turn to the Devil – did you ever think you’d agree with that before this series?

There does need to be one character who still doesn’t know the truth, I feel. That one token character who helps to keep the show somewhat grounded. Detective Douche would probably be the best one for that, although I’d love to see his face when he realizes he’s been winding up (and been wound up by) the Devil.
