There are many, many more new series and seasons of fan-favorites coming to Netflix this June, such as Marlon, Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce, Dark, and The Missing. But if you’re in the mood to start your summer off with something a little different and a lot under the radar, IFC’s mockumentary series from Saturday Night Live vets Fred Armisen, Bill Hader, and Seth Meyers is what you’ve been looking for. Documentary Now! returned this year with its third season after taking a break since 2016, and it’s coming to your watch list this month.

Centered on the premise that in some alternative universe that Documentary Now! is a long-running (50+ seasons) news magazine series presented by Helen Mirren, the series satirizes popular documentary films by parodying their themes and style. Season 3 features the episodes titled “Batsh-t Valley,” “Original Cast Album: Co-Op,” “Waiting for the Artist,” “Searching for Mr. Larson: A Love Letter from the Far Side,” “Long Gone,” and “Any Given Saturday Afternoon” featuring guest appearances by Tara Killam, Natasha Lyonne, Cate Blanchett, and more.

Documentary Now! received two consecutive Primetime Emmy Award Nominations for Outstanding Variety Sketch Series, and also picked up additional nominations from the Critics’ Choice Awards and the Writers Guild of America Awards. Although Fred Armisen and Bill Hader have taken a step back from the series, Season 3 features writing from Seth Meyers and John Mulaney and direction from series staple Alex Buono. The critically acclaimed mockumentary series has been renewed for a fourth season, so don’t miss Season 3 on Netflix this June!
