2. Brutal fight

What ensues is a fight that belongs in a gore-packed horror movie. There are meat cleavers, knives, and even fireplace pokers involved. You would think Lizzie and Charlotte can overtake Anton easily, it’s two against one, but the twisted man puts up a good fight.

While Lizzie is down, Anton cuts up Charlotte’s left arm so badly, we know she won’t be able to use it again. Just before he can kill Charlotte, though, Lizzie jumps in with the fireplace poker and delivers many blows to Anton. But if you think he’s dead, you still don’t fully understand how brilliantly absurd this movie is.

1. Anton

The shocking final scene reveals that instead of killing Anton, Charlotte and Lizzie amputated both of his arms and legs, as well as sewed Anton’s lips and eyes shut. Together, they get on the same stage they were abused many times before and play the cello. Charlotte controls the bow with her right hand (revealing a stump on her left), while Lizzie plays the strings with her left hand.

We’re not sure which scene is more bizarre to look at, the duo playing as one or Anton’s chopped up and broken body. It’s borderline ridiculous, but that’s the theme the movie is going for and it surprisingly works.
