The Witcher

The Witcher is based on the novels of the same name written by Andrzej Sapkowski. The stories follow Geralt of Rivia, played by Henry Cavill in the new Netflix series. Geralt is a monster hunter, aka a “witcher,” and he travels around this world searching for monsters.

Most people have heard of The Witcher in some capacity. It’s taken forms in a variety of pop culture media, including video games, comics, books, and more. Now, it’s going to be a TV show available to people all over the world.

Lauren Hissrich is the showrunner for the Netflix original series, which also stars Freya Allen, Anya Chaolotra, Adam Levy, Jodhi May, and more.

According to various reports, The Witcher has wrapped filming in Europe, and it should be going through the editing process now. That’s a really good sign for those waiting to see the series soon!

Like all the shows on this list, The Witcher has the potential to be one of the biggest shows in the world when it hits Netflix later this year. We still don’t know when exactly to expect the series, but I think there’s a good chance it will be in November or December. Netflix always like to go out with a bang, and that’s exactly what this series would be for 2019.

I have a feeling this show is going to be a little darker and focus more on the supernatural than Game of Thrones, which also had its share of the supernatural, though. It will be really interesting to see how this series shakes out.

Stay tuned for more news about this series!
