Could there be a more obvious option for a long-commitment series to binge-watch? It’s no secret that Friends has stood the test of time and remains one of the most watched and feverishly beloved series ever. When rumors arise that Friends will leave Netflix, a passionate outcry erupts on social media, but fret not. The sitcom will remain on the streamer (that is, until WarnerMedia launches their own streaming service in the future), and there’s still plenty of time to catch every season and, eventually, test out that upcoming shuffle feature.

Of course, Friends follows the personal and professional misadventures of six close-knit friends living in New York City. From going on bad dates to losing their jobs, these pals see each other through it all with inside jokes, tough love, and no-questions-asked support. The sitcom not only anchored NBC’s Must See TV era but maintained its success since its 2004 sign-off in syndication and now streaming. Although it’s not everyone’s cup of tea (to each their own!), there’s no denying its impact on pop culture and how well the all-time great still holds up in quality.

Friends was both a ratings smash and an awards favorite, picking up the Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series in 2002 and earning Jennifer Aniston and Lisa Kudrow each an Emmy win. But it’s not just the awards and success that make Friends great. It’s a through and through feel-good show that will never go out of style (even if certain jokes and episodes don’t age as well as others). Shows like these are extraordinarily rare, but Friends thankfully isn’t rare in availability. Start with these 25 classic episodes or dive right into a binge of all 10 seasons on Netflix.
