As it were, there aren’t a ton of Netflix original series with exorbitantly larger episode counts because, like cable series, streaming series don’t adhere to the traditional orders of network series. However, there are a few long-running originals that have inched closer to the 100-episode mark, such as House of Cards, Orange Is the New Black, Grace and Frankie, BoJack Horseman, and of course, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. While any of those series make for perfect longer binge-watches, you could never go wrong with the complete adventures of Kimmy Schmidt.

The comedy series from 30 Rock masterminds Tina Fey and Robert Carlock centers on the exploits of Kimmy Schmidt (Ellie Kemper), a 30-something woman recently saved from an underground bunker after spending half of her life in a doomsday cult. She relocates herself to New York City, where she quickly forms a new family and tries to make a life for herself for the first time ever. Naturally, it’s an uphill battle as her pre-teen outlook often conflicts with the harsher reality of the world. Over the course of four seasons, Kimmy contends with her past to brighten her future.

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt premiered in 2015 as the first Netflix original comedy series and earned four consecutive Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Comedy Series. It’s consistently praised for its writing and the performances of its cast and should be at the top of your list to catch up on. Next year, the series will return following its series finale for an interactive special, reuniting the cast for a brand new adventure and official ending. If you’re looking for a long but not super long binge, Kimmy’s 51 episodes will bring the laughs.
