5. What happened to the teens?

At the very end, we got to see the real world. A woman walked into the church to read to a group of children. She and other adults wore a yellow ribbon, likely marking the remembrance of the teenagers that had gone missing. Behind her was a plaque with all the names of the teenagers that have been sent to this alternate world.

One of the big questions for The Society season 1 is what happened to the teens. While the teenagers tried to figure out how to survive, some were also figuring out where they were and how they got there. But what we didn’t see was the real world.

Will The Society season 2 focus on that? Will we get to see something from the normal reality?

There are a few theories going on. Sam believes that his dad and uncle may have played a part and Kelly is sure the bus driver has something to do with it. There seems to be something about the smell that came, disappeared, and returned.

There’s a chance that all the parents know exactly what happened to their children. They may have agreed to sending their teenagers off. Or maybe, a small group within that society agreed to “sacrificing” their children without telling everyone else.

We need some answers in the second season. While we may not get them all, just something else to explain what had gone on will be enough.
