22. Scooby-Doo

Don’t lie, this isn’t only for the kiddos! You know if Scooby-Doo were to be added on Netflix you would binge watch the episodes immediately. Not just for the nostalgia, but because it’s a fun cartoon! No, not a cartoon—an animated series, because you’re never too old for some Scooby-Doo.

Only the best of the best tv shows and movies withstand the test of time. Did you know Scooby-Doo was produced in 1969 and is still creating content today? How does it do it? Well, not only are all the characters in Scooby-Doo colorful and unique, but the series continues to adapt to current events and trending topics. Many celebrities have gone on to guest star in the animated series and a week doesn’t go by without a Scooby-Doo meme popping online. That’s how iconic Scooby-Doo is.

If this is the first you hear about Scooby-Doo, you must be pretty young and new to the internet. The cartoon follows Scooby-Doo, a Great Dane, his owner and best pal Shaggy, and their pals Fred, Daphne and Velma as they solve mysteries across the states.

So why isn’t Scooby-Doo on Netflix? It’s not a Disney property, but ownership may get a bit complicated. Its original network was CBS before moving on to ABC in the late 70s. After ABC canceled the series, it moved on to what was known as The WB before becoming The CW.

Now, you can find the series airing reruns on Cartoon Network and Boomerang, but new episodes in Boomerang’s reboot Scooby-Doo and Guess Who? debuts later this year.
