2. Hannah Montana

Another series we want to see join Netflix’s nostalgia genre category is Hannah Montana. Think about it, we’d have the best of both worlds! Okay, that was obviously an intended pun for all those familiar with the popular Disney series.

Hannah Montana is responsible for putting Miley Cyrus on the map. The teen comedy features a much different Mile than what we are used to seeing today. However, I truly believe Miley was always a wild card, fans just chose to see her as the character she portrayed on Hannah Montana.

The comedy only ran for four seasons as the cast, mainly Miley, decided to part ways with the series to explore other projects (singing). Hannah Montana centered on Miley Stewart (Cyrus), a teenager living a double life – an average student by day, world-famous singer Hannah Montana by night. Her disguise was simply a wig, and by hiding her identity Miley was able to live a somewhat normal life and was unbelievably humble.

Each season was accompanied by a soundtrack album and even a world tour, Best of Both Worlds Tour, across North America. A 3D film was also produced, Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert. The series finally concluded in 2011.
