4. Smallville

Yes, another old series. Can we just agree that Netflix desperately needs to create a nostalgia category? If it ever does, Smallville needs to be a part of it.

Smallville, the superhero action-drama, was ahead of its time, like many shows on the list. If done properly, I believe the series can get a reboot, and if this happens it needs to be on Netflix. With how complicated rights and ownership is, though, especially this being a DC Comics character, I highly doubt that would ever happen. Still, a fan can dream!

Smallville starred Tom Welling, Kristin Kreuk, Michael Rosenbaum, Allison Mack and others. The series first aired on what was known as The WB (it is now the CW). It ran for 10 seasons, so if that isn’t a success, tell me what is.

If you have never heard of the series, you may have already guessed anyway that Smallville followed a young Clark Kent (Welling) in the fictional town of Smallville, Kansas. In the series, Kent is in high school navigating the life of a student and being the strongest man alive – all while keeping the latter a secret.

After the fifth season, Smallville ventures into Kent’s career at the Daily Planet and also introduces many popular DC characters into the mix. Where can you watch it all now? Hulu!
