11. Big Little Lies

Big Little Lies is another hit for HBO. The drama-mystery features a star studded cast that includes Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Shailene Woodley, Zoe Kravitz, Laura Dern, and others.

The series is based on the novels of the same name by Liane Moriarty and premiered on February 2017 exclusively on HBO to stellar reviews. The praise from both critics and fans was so great, what was intended to be a miniseries received an order for a second season.

Big Little Lies has gathered 16 Emmy Award nominations, winning eight. The series wins include Outstanding Limited Series and wins for Kidman, Skarsgard, and Dern.

The upcoming second season is set to premiere later this summer on June 9, 2019. However, if you’re thinking about catching up on Netflix before the new season is here, you’ll need to adjust those plans.

As you may have already guessed, just as Game of Thrones isn’t available on Netflix, neither is Big Little Lies. Instead, HBO Now has the entire first season ready for you to watch.

If you haven’t seen the drama-mystery, trust me, you’re missing out! The events are intense and real, performed by a wonderful cast. And in case you need more convincing, Meryl Streep will be part of the season 2 cast. The more woman power is involved, the better!
