On One-Punch Man, there are quite a few heroes who possess unimaginable strength, though one such hero has yet to unlock her full potential: Miss Blizzard. Could she become even stronger than Tornado?

The sophomore season of One-Punch Man recently introduced the younger sister of famed superhero Hellish Tornado to the show. Miss Blizzard is seen as the weaker of the two espers but her persistence in Episode 18 “The Monster Uprising” gives us the impression that she possesses a well of untapped potential.

During this episode, Miss Blizzard and her team of B-Class heroes confront Monster Princess. The devious seductress uses a whip to dominate her victims so she has a clear advantage over everyone. Monster Princess actually brainwashes Blizzard’s entire team during their fight. They all lunge at Blizzard without an ounce of hesitation but she refuses to attack them—guess Miss Blizzard has learned that lives hold value after all.

When Miss Blizzard can no longer keep Monster Princess and her slaves at bay with defensive attacks, she winds up in a vulnerable position. The young esper tries with all her might to resist but assaults from multiple directions are too much to bear. Monster Princess eventually gets the jump on her and lashes Hellish Blizzard across her back. She sustains multiple blows which leave deep red marks on her bare skin.

At this point, Miss Blizzard should be under Monster Princess’ influence but that’s not the case. She’s somehow able to resist the magical manipulation, countering with an even stronger telekinetic attack. And from the looks of it, the pain has unlocked a well of untapped power.

Before Monster Princess can swing her whip again, Miss Blizzard unleashes a burst of telekinetic energy that sends the seductress flying backward. She’s totally caught off-guard but then commits to tackling Hellish Blizzard head on. Of course, Miss Blizzard has the upper hand the second time around.

While Monster Princess wastes time contemplating how the young esper resisted her attack, Miss Blizzard flies towards her without hesitation. She’s prepared to unleash a flurry of telekinetic attacks on the lowly monster but then Tornado appears to clean up the situation.

What fans should be paying attention to is the burst of energy released by Hellish Blizzard. It might not seem like a big deal but her lightning-quick attack following the explosion could be a sign that she’s pushed beyond her own limitations. Could this be the first step to Blizzard outclassing her sister?

Even though Tatsumaki aka Tornado is the eldest and strongest of the esper sisters, she might not be for long. Since we don’t know exactly how their powers evolve, the dynamic could shift between who is the strongest. If that is the case, Fubuki might have to battle her sister for the spot as number one esper.
