1. The Mandalorian

Release Date: Nov. 12, 2019

The Mandalorian is coming to Disney Plus on the launch date! It will be the biggest show to hit the streaming service at that time, and it will probably be the biggest new release of November. This show is going to be super popular, and with it coinciding with the launch the streaming, it should be a massive success.

Pedro Pascal, best known for Game of Thrones and Narcos, stars in The Mandalorian as bounty hunter just trying to survive in the Galaxy far, far away. The series is set a few years after the events of The Return of the Jedi, and should be a bridge between The Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens. Obviously, it’s not going to be involving the same characters, but it’ll be interesting to see this part of the galaxy at that time.

In addition to Pascal, Gina Carano, Nick Nolte, Emily Swallow, Carl Weathers, Giancarlo Esposito, Omid Abtahi, and Werner Herzog also star in the series.

There are so many talented people involved in the project. Jon Favreau is the showrunner for the series. While he’s also writing and producing, there are several successful directors directing the episodes, including Taika Waititi, best known for directing Thor: Ragnarok.

The Mandalorian could be the future of the Star Wars franchise if it’s successful. There are already a few live action shows in the works, and if this kills like I think it will, it could be a game-changer.
