Star Wars fans will soon have an entirely new series to binge-watch when Disney Plus launches in November. Get ready for The Mandalorian starring Pedro Pascal.

The new Star Wars TV series, The Mandalorian, will be available to stream on Disney+ (Disney Plus) on the streaming service’s launch date.

Disney is preparing a massive launch for its brand new streaming service Disney+, which is set to go live on Nov. 12, 2019. Almost all of the company’s feature animated films will be available to watch on day one, as well as several options from Pixar, Marvel, and the newly acquired 20th Century Fox. In addition to this, all the Star Wars movies will also be available.

One of the most exciting aspects of this service is going to be the several original series that Disney is producing set to be released at launch. Several Marvel and Pixar series featuring famous IP’s like Monsters Inc., Loki, and Hawkeye will all be available for fans to dig into as soon as the service is available. One of the most anticipated of these series is the new Star Wars series, The Mandolorian.

Set in the years following the events of The Return of The Jedi, the series will follow a lone mandalorian bounty hunter played by Pedro Pascal as he attempts to survive on the far reaches of the galactic empire. Nick Nolte, Gina Carano, Carl Weathers, and Werner Herzog are just a few of the actors filling out the cast.

More from Star Wars

Jon Favreau is serving as showrunner, as well as writing, producing and even directing a few episodes of the series. Favreau is no stranger to the Star Wars universe either, in 2018 he voiced the character of Rio Durant in Solo: A Star Wars Story. Additional directors of episodes announced include Star Wars alum Dave Filoni, Bryce Dallas Howard, Deborah Chow, and Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi. Ragnarok is available to stream on Netflix now.

With the release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker arriving in theaters this December, and the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World next month, 2019 is shaping up to be a huge year for die-hard fans of the galaxy far far away. Footage from The Mandalorian was recently shown in April at Star Wars Celebration Convention

in Chicago, and first impressions seemed to be praising the cinematic quality of the show. Disney has not released any footage online as of yet.
