The latest episodes of ABC’s Whiskey Cavalier have seen the tone shift from comedy to quite a bit of drama. One of the most prevalent moments involved Agent Tina Marek and her role in an assassination. Continue reading for more details.

Warning! Spoilers for the latest episodes of Whiskey Cavalier follow. Read on at your own discretion.

In case you haven’t caught up on the past few episodes of ABC’s Whiskey Cavalier, you may want to stop reading. But if you are up-to-date on the latest developments then you know that an important character recently met an untimely death: Emma Davies (Ophelia Lovibond).

Agent Davies was on a mission abroad when an assassin ambushed her. She caught wind of the trap but couldn’t act in time. One bullet later, Davies is lying dead on the ground. The killer’s face isn’t shown but the handle of their personalized pistol can be seen as the scene cuts to black.

The assassin’s gun is important because it’s shown once more, except this time, we learn who the gun belongs to. And as it turns out, the pistol belongs to none other than Agent Tina Marek (Marika Domincyzk). She leaves her gun on the bar counter in the Whiskey hideout and the identical handle ties her to Agent Davies’ murder.

Next. Why fans should give ABC's Whiskey Cavalier another chance?. dark

What’s terrible is that no one on the Whiskey team has any idea—especially not Standish (Tyler James Williams)—and he could be in some serious danger. The young agent has become romantically involved with Tina and doesn’t suspect a thing. She’s obviously working for The Trust, which means Standish is in the position to become a hostage/casualty. Tina had no problem killing Agent Davies so pulling the trigger on Standish shouldn’t be any different. She’s even joked about shooting Standish before, making the situation even worse for him.

While things do look bad for Tina, there is a chance that the gun handle was a total mislead. It’s quite possible the personalized handle isn’t so unique and other Agents carry the same gun. Military outfits and private security teams are known to carry identical firearms, and the same could apply to the team that Agent Marek works for.

It’s also worth mentioning that Agent Marek has been embroiled in deep-cover operations so confidential that even the CIA and FBI don’t have access to them. That means Agent Marek could just be one of the agents who carries a pistol with a grip that matches the killer’s weapon. Of course, such a scenario would imply that one of Tina’s colleagues is working for The Trust.

Whatever the case may be, things aren’t looking good for the Whiskey team. If Agent Marek turns out to be a covert assassin working for Ollerman (Dylan Walsh) and The Trust, then she’ll have the whole Whiskey team at her mercy. And they won’t be able to intervene since Standish will likely become Tina’s hostage. But even if it’s not Tina, their mission could be jeopardized by another mole within the intelligence community.
