Lucifer cast members teased the possibility of Lucifer season 5. Now, it’s up to Netflix to save the show.

Do you want to see Lucifer season 5? The cast, including Tom Ellis, hinted that Lucifer could be renewed for season 5 at Netflix.

In a recent phone interview with Collider, Ellis said that he doesn’t feel like the story is done yet.  There is so much more to explore. He went on to say that there have been shows that end in a cliffhanger and there is not a satisfying end to the show. In the end, the show’s fate is up to Netflix.

Lucifer season 4 just premiered on Netflix on May 8, 2019, and fans are waiting to find out if the show is coming back for season 5. Netflix doesn’t usually announce renewals for a month or so after the season’s release, but Ellis seems open to the idea of the show continuing.

Here’s what Ellis said to Collider about season 5:

"“I feel like we haven’t finished telling our story yet, without giving too many spoilers away. With any show, you could ultimately finish, at the end of any season, and you’re either left with a massive cliffhanger and people are left unsatisfied, or you get the opportunity to tell your story until the end. I think that we would all love to come back and do a Season 5. We’ll just have to see what Netflix says.”"

Lesley-Ann Brandt, who plays Mazikeen, has also teased in interviews the possibility of more seasons. She said in an interview with Hollywood Life that fans are going to be left begging for more.

That is a very Maze thing to say if you think about it. She wasn’t wrong. Season 4 had been available for less than 24 hours before fans were on social media calling for more.

Then we have this older tweet from DB Woodside, who plays Amenadiel, that teased season 5.

Granted, he also tweeted at the same time that this is due to him being very optimistic about getting another season because season 4 is so good. Netflix has to renew Lucifer. We would hate for all of his hard work to go to waste. Clearly, he’s put in a lot of effort and sweat. That needs to be rewarded, don’t you think?

In the end, it all comes down to the fans. If season 4 is viewed enough times and there is enough action on social media, that will show Netflix that it is worth it to them to renew Lucifer for another season.
