Batwoman, Nancy Drew and the Riverdale spinoff Katy Keene starring Lucy Hale and Ashleigh Murray got a series order from The CW. All three shows will be added to Netflix.

The CW has ordered three more series for the 2019-2020 TV season: the Riverdale spinoff Katy Keane, Nancy Drew and Batwoman, according to a report from Deadline. And, we have more good news! All three shows are coming to Netflix, which is fitting because they all have some

Katy Keene stars Lucy Hale and Riverdale alum Ashleigh Murray, who exits Riverdale to star in Katy Keene. Hale, who plays Katy, is best known for her work on Pretty Little Liars, and she also starred in the Netflix movie DUDE.

Based on Archie Comics characters, the series revolves around Katy and her small group of New York City transplants trying to make it in various industries: fashion, music, Broadway and more.

Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa is an executive producer for the series, in addition to the same role with Riverdale and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. How he has time for all these shows, I have no idea.

Like Katy Keene, Batwoman is also based on comics and characters from comic books. Ruby Rose, who starred in Netflix’s Orange is the New Black, will play Kate Kane (not Katy Keene), also known as Batwoman, “a lesbian and highly trained street fighter,” according to the report, in her quest to keep Gotham safe.

Greg Berlanti and his production company are producing Batwoman and Katy Keene.

Nancy Drew, on the other hand, is produced by CBS TV Studios and Fake Empire, Stephanie Savage and Josh Schwartz’s production company. The series is based on the classic book series of the same name.

Kennedy McCann stars in the series as Nancy Drew, a teenager who skips college to stick around her hometown. Her curiosity gets her caught up in a murder investigation, according to the report.

All these shows are very on brand for The CW right now.

We don’t know when Katy Keene, Batwoman or Nancy Drew will be released on The CW. We’re expecting the shows will premiere in the fall, but that has not been confirmed. We also have not heard how many episodes will be in each season. That complicates things for predicting the release date on Netflix for these shows.

You’ll be able to watch Katy Keene, Batwoman and Nancy Drew on Netflix exactly eight days after their season 1 finales air on The CW. Stay tuned for more news about the release dates for those shows.

There’s a chance The CW could end their agreement with Netflix in the future. We haven’t heard for sure if The CW and Netflix will continue this deal that brings new seasons of CW shows to Netflix eight days after the season finale airs. Netflix is one of the reasons Riverdale is so popular right now. There was a big viewership bump between the first and second season thanks to Netflix. It seems like a great deal for both networks, so let’s hope it continues into the future.
