Monday Night Raw and Smackdown Live are getting shaken up with Mr. McMahon’s latest twist to the show’s dynamic. Continue reading for more details on the upcoming change.

To kick off the latest episode of Monday Night Raw, Vince McMahon opened the show with a stunning announcement. The WWE chairman revealed that the company would be instituting a “wild-card” rule wherein three wrestlers from Smackdown Live would appear on Raw, and vice-versa.

In the first round of these “wild-card” switch-ups, Roman Reigns and Kofi Kingston dropped by. Reigns only recently moved from Raw to Smackdown but his return was accompanied by huge applause from the audience in attendance, especially when Reigns inched towards another confrontation with the McMahons and their legions of heel superstars.

What’s of most interest about Vince McMahon’s “wild-card” rule is that any wrestler from either roster could show up at a random time. McMahon limited the number to three but we can count on them bending that rule on special occasions. Last night’s episode of Raw also saw Smackdown’s General Manager Shane McMahon drop in for a special appearance.

As far as possible change-ups go, we’ll witness another round of wrestlers making the move later tonight—except this time—it’ll be Raw superstars coming over to Smackdown Live. The question is: which ones will be on tonight’s episode? Our guess is The Miz will make a brief return to Smackdown Live this week.

The Miz has been in a feud with Shane McMahon ever since the latter turned on him in a surprise betrayal. Their fight has gone back and forth, bleeding over into the stands and backstage area multiple times. They actually wound up fighting in the parking garage during this past episode of Monday Night Raw. It ended with Shane escaping in a limousine but this just goes to show how intense their rivalry is getting.

In regard to other wrestlers who could make the move, that’s anyone’s guess. We’ll undoubtedly witness more surprises on tonight’s episode of Smackdown Live and in the weeks to come.
