3. Pretty Little Liars

Pretty Little Liars begins with a group of high school-aged friends one year after the death of their good friend, Alison. They were all together the night Alison died, but they didn’t kill her. A year later, someone known as “A” is now stalking the group of friends and threatening to reveal their secrets. The group tries to find Alison’s killer.

Lucy Hale, Shay Mitchell, Ashley Benson, Sasha Pieterse, and Troian Bellisario star in the series, along with Chad Lowe, Holly Marie Combs, Laura Leighton, Ian Harding, Tyler Blackburn and Keegan Allen.

The series is based on the book of the same name by Sara Shephard.

Pretty Little Liars might be a little juvenile for some people, but if you like a good mystery, and a murder-stalker mystery at that, this is the show for you. It plays into a lot of genre tropes, and it can get bogged down in its own ridiculousness at times. There’s still something redeeming about this series, though, and that’s why so many people like it.

All seven seasons of Pretty Little Liars are on Netflix right now. Start your binge-watch whenever you have time!
