Jason Momoa – Frontier

A world centered around the fur trade of Canada in the 1700s sounds somewhat boring. It’s not. Momoa is a central figure in a scheme to eliminate a rival company. He uses spies, intimidation and other shadowy actions to gain power. The show is originally produced by Discovery Canada but Netflix distributes the show internationally.

Momoa starred as Dothraki Khal Drogo. His introduction to the quest for the Iron Throne is early as he is “gifted” Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) as his bride in order to give her brother Viserys an army to invade Westeros with.

This, of course, doesn’t go as planned for Viserys and Khal Drogo gives him a golden crown, of sorts. Unfortunately, he met his demise at the hands of a witchlike doctor and a somewhat pitiful pillow smothering by his wife. Drogo was and remains a fan favorite to this day and seems to be rumored to make appearances in every single season following his exit from the show.
