Renewed: The Kominsky Method

Renewed for: Season 2

What it’s about: Sandy Kominsky isn’t ready to retire. He wants to keep going in the business of show business. There may be curveballs thrown his way, but he’s more than happy to keep going and proving that someone his age can navigate the world of entertainment and fame. So he and his trusty agent, Norman Newlander, continue their journey together.

The Netflix Original gives us a look at Los Angeles in a very different way. You’re used to watching it through the eyes of the youth. The ones just grasping the beginnings of fame and fortune. The Kominsky Method offers a look at the city through the eyes of someone in his twilight years.

Why the renewal is good: It took a while, but it was excellent news hearing that The Kominsky Method was renewed. It was a no brainer after success at awards shows, but it was still a relief to hear Netflix was renewing the series for a second season.

The Kominsky Method is funny and it’s always great to have another comedy we can sink our teeth into. It offers a look at life after the considered normal age for fame, very similar to the way Grace and Frankie breaks the norm.

This is a show that’s well written and well acted, offering something new and exciting to the masses. It makes you think in between the laughs, makes you cry whether sad tears or tears of laughter. This is a show that needs to remain on the air for years to come because it’s pure genius. But then, what do you expect from Chuck Lorre?
