Renewed: The Order

Renewed for: Season 2

What it’s about: When Jack attends a prestigious college, he thinks it’s a normal secret society that was the reason for his mother’s death. Revenge should be easy. Well, he soon finds himself pulled into a world of witches and werewolves, finding himself stuck in the middle.

Will Jack be able to get the revenge he needs? Will he be able to take down his father? Is his father even that dangerous? These are all questions answered over the course of the season, delivering a twisty and turvy season full of magic and mystery.

Why the renewal is good: The first season gained plenty of hype because it was a reminder of The Vampire Diaries and Supernatural. With werewolves and witches, it was going to pull in those who loved fantasy shows. As many watched, there were also feelings of The Magicians and other similar shows.

Getting these fun and quirky shows is important. Sometimes, we want something that is purely made to entertain with some intriguing and twisty storylines. That’s exactly what The Order offers, and there’s no denying that by the end, we needed more.

The season finale of The Order had a major twist that many never saw coming. It changed absolutely everything that we’d come to know and made it clear there was a need for a second season. We had so many questions that needed answering and the only way to get those answers was by getting a renewal.

Now we can rewatch the series looking for clues as to how the writers will handle the future. We can also get excited about the deep history initially mentioned in the first season.
