Chambers starring Uma Thurman and Tony Goldwyn is coming to Netflix tonight
Chambers premieres on Netflix tonight, so here’s everything you need to know about the Uma Thurman and Tony Goldwyn-led horror series before streaming.
Leave the lights on, because Chambers is premiering on Netflix. The complete first season of the horror-drama series starts tonight, and it’s going to keep viewers up at night whether you binge-watch it or not.
Chambers will be available to stream on Netflix at 12:01 a.m. PT on Friday, April 26. This show is probably worth staying up late for, especially for fans of the thriller genre.
After Sasha (newcomer Sivan Alyra Rose) suffers a heart attack, she’s saved by the donor heart of another young woman. However, as Sasha recovers, she learns more about Becky Lefevre (fellow newcomer Lillya Reid), whose perfect prom queen exterior hides some dark family secrets.
While trying to uncover those secrets and figure out what led to the other girl’s demise, Sasha becomes too close to Becky—she might even be becoming Becky.
Netflix fans who enjoy horror or teen dramas will both be intrigued by this series; however, the biggest reason to watch Chambers is the two names who are toplining the cast.
Uma Thurman stars as Nancy Lefevre, Becky’s mother. Thurman has never been a regular on a TV series before; she’s recurred on Smash and Imposters and appeared in six of the eight episodes of The Slap, but this is the first time she’s been front and center.
What will she do with the meaty role of a grieving mother mourning her daughter’s death and trying to hold her family together—even if her family could have had something to do with what happened to Becky?
Then there’s Tony Goldwyn, who is positively electric right now in the Broadway production of Network and well known for his work as President Fitzgerald “Fitz” Grant on Scandal (which is also streaming on Netflix). He portrays Ben Lefevre, Nancy’s husband and Becky’s father.
And while Ben is charming, powerful and rich, he’s got deep connections to a new age spiritual center that might not be what it appears either. Becky’s death has pushed Ben even deeper into the world of new age mysticism, and with his resources and appeal, that could be very dangerous for him and anyone who crosses him.
Goldwyn is one of the best actors of his generation, and Thurman should bring something new and exciting to television. Chambers has great talent at the top, and emerging talent at its core, so stream all ten episodes starting Friday only on Netflix—after watching the trailer below.
