How Dan is dealing with Charlotte’s loss

This really was a heartbreaking loss. Even though Charlotte wasn’t my favorite character, she grew on me. I liked how she strived to be good and tried to better herself. In the end, she did that and so much more. It’s sad to lose her, especially since they were finally getting to a good place.

The scene where Dan clutches Charlotte got the waterworks going on my end. Anyone else? I just want to give Dan an Ella hug. This is going to be rough on Dan and going through the process of dealing with her death will probably be the focus of his storyline this season.

Dan’s way of dealing with this loss can go in a few directions. Maybe he’ll try to ignore it and throw himself into his work, bottling up his sadness and anger. Or will he lash out at those around him? Hopefully, Lucifer has the good sense not to call him “Detective Douche” or throw jabs at him, Dan won’t so easily brush it off.

It’s possible we’ll see him go to Linda for help because who hasn’t been her patient yet? There’s also improv, which helped him during his divorce with Chloe. Dan is usually a chill guy, so it will be interesting to see how he’s going to deal with Charlotte’s loss.
