8. Generation Iron 3

Generation Iron has become a pretty popular documentary franchise in this fitness community by this time. Now in its third iteration, the documentary looks at bodybuilding on a global scale.

Generation Iron 3 bounces all over the globe. There is Ariel Khadr, an Egyptian-American who faces living up to a big start. She is a former gymnast who abandoned her gymnastic career in favor of bodybuilding. She earned her pro card at the age of 17, making her the youngest IFBB pro in history.

Next up is Canadian Chris Bumstead who is known for bringing back the golden age of bodybuilding ideals — a small waist and huge upper body. Then there is Arash Rahbar, an Iranian-American that really helped shine a light on what the bodybuilding scene is in the middle east.

Brandon Hendrickson is the American representative in the documentary. He tries to bring a bit more credibility to the men’s physique division of bodybuilding.

Hadi Choopan known as the Persian Wolf in the bodybuilding community talks about the issues politics can play when someone is simply trying to follow their dreams. He announces that the recent travel ban makes him ineligible for the Mr. Olympia meet.

The third documentary in the franchise will really inspire anyone to go to the gym and get their sweat going. Simply seeing all these young men and women chase their fitness goals will inspire you to get up and run around the block, stopping only to do some pushups and squats.
