Kentucky: My Next Guest Needs No Introduction With David Letterman

What better way to represent a state than to do a deep dive interview with one of its most famous natives? Luckily for Kentucky, superstar actor George Clooney was born in Lexington in 1961.

While there aren’t currently any Netflix originals or other series on the streaming service that star Mr. Clooney, he did have a very memorable guest spot on My Next Guest Needs No Introduction With David Letterman. Together, these two celebrities explored Clooney’s professional and personal life.

Local Kentuckians may enjoy the show’s journey out to The Bluegrass State, where Letterman toured Clooney’s childhood home and spoke with his parents. The episode really makes Kentucky look good, as it shows the influence that Clooney’s upbringing had on his success.

Hopefully, we’ll see more Kentucky-themed shows on Netflix in the future. The state is home to so many famous historical figures and celebrities, like Abraham Lincoln, Jennifer Lawrence, and even Billy Ray Cyrus. However, there currently just aren’t too many shows on Netflix that tell their stories.

If you’re looking for something that still invokes that Kentucky-esque country feel, why not try a popular series like Hart of Dixie or The Ranch? You can still get that awesome down-home feel that will give you the warm fuzzies.
