Stranger Things is the most-watched show on Netflix: Report

Stranger Things is the most popular show on Netflix, followed by Orange is the New Black, The Office and Friends, according to a new survey.

What’s the most popular show on Netflix? That’d be Stranger Things, according to a report from Vulture. The report cites a MoffettNathanson survey that found Stranger Things is the most-watched show on the streaming service.

Netflix does not release much of their ratings information, so we’ll never know how many people are actually watching these shows if Netflix doesn’t tell us. These surveys are pretty consistent, overall, and Stranger Things always seems to be near the top of the most popular shows on Netflix lists.

Orange is the New Black is the second-most popular series on Netflix, according to the survey, while The Office, Friends and Grace and Frankie rounded out the top five, respectively.

Ozark, Marvel’s Daredevil, Black Mirror, Fuller House, The Umbrella Academy, The Crown, The Ranch and You were the other Netflix shows who made the top 15. That’s a pretty solid list of shows. We recommend checking out most of them if you haven’t yet on the streaming service.

I don’t think it’s any surprise Stranger Things is the most-watched Netflix show and show on Netflix. The series is always popping up on unofficial lists of what’s popular on Netflix, and the craziest thing about it is that we haven’t seen a new episode of the series since October 27, 2017. We won’t see a new episode until July 4, 2019. That’s a really long time.

Yet, people keep watching this show, and that’s why Stranger Things 3 will be the biggest television event outside of Game of Thrones this year and probably over the next few years. We know it’s going to be a while after Stranger Things 3 until we see new episodes.

Stranger Things 4 has not started filming yet, although the series has already been renewed for season 4. Unfortunately, that means it’s going to be a long wait until we see another season of the series. I’m guessing fall of 2020 as the release date for season 4, but we’ll keep an eye on that as after we see the third season of the series this summer.
