David Harbour aka everyone’s favorite sheriff from Stranger Things is joining the cast of Marvel’s Black Widow movie. Here are all the details.

Strangers Things is about to hit the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). According to The Hollywood Reporter, David Harbour aka Sheriff Jim Hopper is joining the cast of Marvel’s Black Widow movie.

Who he will play is still under wraps (it is Marvel after all), but it will definitely be interesting to see how he fits into the film. Will he be a hero or a villain?

There is very little known about the film beyond the fact that it will be centered around Natasha. She was a Russian operative and assassin who was trained by the KGB but then switched sides and started training with SHIELD and eventually became an Avenger.

Only time will tell what role Harbour’s character plays in Natasha’s life.

But this isn’t Harbour’s first foray into playing a superhero. He will also be playing Hellboy in the reboot which comes out April 12 and also co-starred with Thor himself, Chris Hemsworth, in a new film called Dhaka that is set to release later this year.

And who can forget that Stranger Things 3 is hitting Netflix on July 4? Harbour will be reprising his role as Jim Hopper and based on the trailer, he has a lot of action headed his way there as well.

Black Widow will be directed by Cate Shortland, an Australian filmmaker and will also star Scarlett Johansson and Florence Pugh. Production is set to start in London this June meaning it will probably be another year or two before we see the film in theaters.
