Lots of movies and shows are leaving Netflix in April. Check out these five before they disappear from the streaming service.

While there will be plenty of new shows and movies coming to Netflix in April, there are also lots of things leaving Netflix in April, too.

With Disney creating its own streaming service and time running out on how long Netflix can keep certain shows and movies, it’s better to watch your faves sooner rather than later. You never know what’s going to be axed next. And make sure you check out these must-watch five shows and movies before April.

Luther

This might be the most shocking of the shows leaving Netflix this April. Luther has been a hit since the first season it aired on BBC One and been a staple on Netflix for those of us who don’t get the BBC One (or missed it on BBC America) and still love to watch the crime-fighting detective break the rules and be friends with a psychopath.

The show that made Idris Elba the star he is today and won him a Golden Globe will, unfortunately, be leaving Netflix April. Now’s the time to binge watch all four seasons. If you were waiting for season 5 to be added, you will have to find another way to watch the new season.

James Bond movies

James Bond will also be leaving the streaming service. Although they were just added in February, Casino Royale, Die Another Day, Diamonds Are Forever, Goldfinger, Live and Let Die, Octopussy, The Man with the Golden Gun, The Spy Who Loved Me, The World is Not Enough, and You Only Live Twice will be taken off Netflix April 1. Might be time for a movie marathon of everyone’s favorite British spy.

Star Wars: Clone Wars

All the Star Wars: Clone Wars movies and series are leaving Netflix April 7. This includes the animated film, all 5 seasons of the series, and The Lost Missions.

As the Star Wars franchise is owned by Disney, most if not all of the Star Wars content will be taken off of Netflix at some point. It will most likely end up on Disney’s streaming service when that becomes available. So, if you are a fan of the animated Star Wars world, now is the time to rewatch it before it’s gone.

Silver Linings Playbook

The Oscar-winning film starring Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper, and Robert De Niro will also be taken of Netflix next month.

Silver Linings Playbook will be taken off the streaming service on April 18. The 2012 film tells the story of Pat and Tiffany, two troubled people who form an unlikely friendship that soon turns into something more once they spend more time together.

Seven

The 1995 crime drama starring Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman will be leaving Netflix on April 1. The film follows two detectives as they try to find the person behind a string of murders. But this isn’t just another case. The murders are staged to represent each of the seven deadly sins.

It is definitely one of Brad Pitt’s best roles and Morgan Freeman is not really bad in anything. If you haven’t seen it, now is your chance. It won’t be available on Netflix streaming after this month.
