All the Disney movies leaving Netflix this year
With Disney coming up with their own streaming service, their movies will soon be leaving Netflix. Here are the ones leaving this year.
Ever since the news came out that Disney was creating its own streaming service, the countdown for when their films would be leaving Netflix was on. Well, the time has come. Some movies already left in 2018 and even more will be leaving this year and in 2020. But which ones should you be watching sooner rather than later?
Let’s take a look.
Beauty and the Beast
Possibly one of the best remakes of a Disney classic, the 2017 Beauty and the Beast starring Emma Watson and Dan Stevens was an instant hit. It stuck to what everyone loved about the 1991 version while adding new songs and new plot points into the story.
But if you want to check out this new take on a classic story, you will want to watch it soon. It’s leaving Netflix on March 19, 2019. So if you are looking to watch Belle and the Beast and all of their friends, make sure you stream this one quick!
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales
The fifth film in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise is also leaving Netflix this year. Captain Jack sails the seas looking for Poseidon’s trident and also comes across Uncle Jack who is played by Paul McCartney.
If you haven’t seen the latest movie in the series (the sixth one is currently in development), you still have a few more months to have see it or have a massive marathon of all the films if you have the first 4 already. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales is leaving Netflix this summer.
Cars 3
Cars 3 will also soon be driving off into the sunset and leaving Netflix in a couple of months. The animated film starring Owen Wilson, Cristela Alonzo, Chris Cooper, and Nathan Fillion hit Netflix at the beginning of 2018 brought back Lightning McQueen but this time he had to show the younger generation of cars that he still had what it takes to be the best racer in the world.
The third film in the Cars franchise will be leaving Netflix sometime this summer. So, if your kids (or you) are looking to watch the latest movie in the series, now’s the time to do it. Otherwise, you will have to either buy the film on DVD or subscribe to Disney’s new service when it comes available.
Coco
The Oscar-winning animated film will be leaving Netflix later this year as well but you have most of the year to watch it as many times as you want. Coco stars Anthony Gonzalez, Gael Garcia Bernal, and Benjamin Bratt and tells the story of a boy looking for the reason his family hates music and during his search ends up in the Land of the Dead.
Coco will be taken off Netflix on within the last few months of 2019. With the amazing music and the beautiful story, Coco is definitely a film you want to check out soon if you haven’t already. It doesn’t get old no matter how many times you rewatch it.
All the Disney, Marvel, Star Wars and Pixar movies are leaving Netflix eventually. We’re expecting some of these new Disney movies will remain on Netflix into 2020 before moving to Disney+.
