The second season of The Haunting of Hill House has been announced as The Haunting of Bly Manor. Here is everything we know so far.

On Feb. 21, Netflix announced that The Haunting of Hill House would receive a name change for its second season and become The Haunting of Bly Manor. With this name change came the confirmation that the series would take an anthology approach to its seasons, not unlike fellow horror series American Horror Story.

The Haunting of Hill House was one of the most binge-watched shows for Netflix last year so it’s no surprise that the streaming service would want to continue that success with a second season. The issue that many fans had, however, was that the story of the Crain family seemed to wrap itself up in a tight bow by the end of the season with little to no opportunity to continue that story.

It only seemed natural that an anthology element needed to be added into the show after the conclusion of the first season, to solve the issue of what direction the show would go in. An anthology direction is exactly what seems to be happening with The Haunting of Bly Manor based on the little we do know so far.

Aside from a vague 2020 release date, details on the second season of the hit show are scarce but we do know a few key things already about the show that point to another fascinating mystery to unravel in the second season.
