The End of the F***ing World is coming back for season 2, and the cast and crew have started filming the new season.

The End of F***ing World season 2 has officially started filming!

Netflix shared the news via their See What’s Next Twitter account, aka the best Twitter follow at the moment, and we shared that tweet with you below. In the tweet, you’ll see the first script of the new season that belongs to Jessica Barden, who stars as Alyssa in the hit Netflix original series.

The series is based on the graphic novel of the same name by Charles Forsman. It was adapted for the small screen by Charlie Covell. It stars Barden and Alex Lawther, as Alyssa and James, two teens who run away from home. It doesn’t end so well.

The uber-dark comedy was not expected to continue beyond season 1 after its initial airing on Channel 4 in the UK. After Netflix released the series around the world, the series became a massive hit. It had everything we could ask for in a new series: a catchy name, outrageous teen characters, and criminal activity.

If that’s not a recipe for a good Netflix original series, I don’t know what is.

Check out the script below.

We still don’t know when the new season will be released on Netflix. It’s no surprise it’s taken this long. There was a lot of planning and working around schedules for season 2. Netflix usually takes a little longer on their shows anyway, and with British shows like The End of the F***ing World, Peaky Blinders, and more, it takes even longer.

Hopefully, we see season 2 later this year, but I think there’s a decent chance it could be pushed back to the beginning of 2020, too.

We’ll be sure to let you know when we find out more information about the season. We can’t wait to see this great series return with new episodes. If you haven’t checked it out by now, you should really give this show a watch!
