One Day at a Time will likely be canceled at Netflix without more people tuning in and watching the new season, according to an update provided by Gloria Calderon Kellett.

Two weeks after One Day at a Time season 3 premiered on Netflix, a renewal is not looking so good. Gloria Calderon Kellett met with Netflix and shared that the meeting didn’t go as well as she had hoped. Apparently, more people need to watch One Day at a Time season 3, and soon, or Netflix will cancel the series.

It might not be as black and white as that on Netflix’s end, but the fact remains the only way to save this series will be to get more people to tune into the latest season on the streaming service.

If you want One Day at a Time to be renewed for season 4, it’s time to start recruiting your friends and family and doing whatever it takes to make them watch the show. It wouldn’t hurt if you made a few strangers watch the show on their Netflix account!

Of course, I’m not advocating kidnapping or anything like that, but if you happened to pull a Michael Scott and lock the pizza boy in the conference room with One Day at a Time season 3 on the TV, I don’t think any other fans of the series would blame you. The police might, though.

light. Must Read. Netflix shows in danger of being canceled

We shared the tweet below!

There’s no reason Netflix should cancel this show from a story perspective. It’s one of the most beloved shows on the platform and it’s universally accepted as a good show. It has a perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes, basically!

Of course, Netflix has to be able to pay for this show, and it needs viewers to do that. But, there should be some leeway for a show as good and important as One Day at a Time. Netflix should respect that and understand how many people will continue to support them when they support diversity and representation in their shows.
