Eminem, like a bunch of other Punisher fans, was not very happy that Netflix chose to cancel The Punisher after season 2.

You’re not the only one who is upset about Netflix canceling Marvel’s The Punisher. Netflix announced the news earlier this week that the two remaining Marvel shows – The Punisher and Jessica Jones – have been canceled. According to a report from Deadline, Eminem is not happy Netflix is canceling the great series starring Jon Bernthal.

Eminem tweeted at Netflix earlier this week about the cancellation, and Netflix has yet to comment on the tweet that, at the time of publishing, has been retweeted more than 100,000 times.

Check out the tweet below.

Eminem is, of course, far from alone with this sentiment. There are millions of fans of The Punisher and they want to see this great series. Unfortunately, it’s not going to happen at Netflix.

The writing was on the wall for a few months that The Punisher and Jessica Jones would probably be canceled. Netflix had already canceled Luke Cage, Iron Fist and, surprisingly, Daredevil, so it was just a matter of time before this news was made public. The Punisher season 2 premiered in January, and it was met with good reviews, so there was a glimmer of hope that the show might be renewed for season 3.

There’s a chance that Disney could find a way to continue this series, make a movie based on the character or start another series with or without Bernthal as Frank Castle. According to reports, Disney would need to wait two years before they include the character in any shows or movies. It’s probably worth the wait and the bump in subscriber loyalty if they could bring back Bernthal for a movie or series.

We’ll keep you posted on the status of The Punisher’s future at Marvel/Disney and if Netflix replies to Eminem’s tweet.
