Arrested Development season 5, part 2 starring Jason Bateman, Tony Hale and Jessica Walter premieres on Netflix on March 15, 2019.
The Bluths are back again! New episodes of Arrested Development are coming to Netflix very soon. The show’s official Twitter account announced Arrested Development season 5, part 2 will be released on March 15, 2019.
It’s been a while since we saw any new episodes featuring the Bluths. The first half of season 5 premiered on Netflix last spring, and we were expecting the second half of the season would be released in the fall or winter, but the streaming network chose to save the episodes for the spring.
Check out the social media announcement below!
It looks like the whole gang is back for the new episodes, which will feature the investigation into the disappearance of Lucille 2.
There are many that might not like Arrested Development coming back for new episodes, especially in light of the controversy surrounding the series during its last press tour.
The Bluths hold a very special place in the entertainment box of my heart. The first three seasons of the series are incredible. There are few shows as clever and hilarious as this one. The fourth season was a nightmare, but the show started to get back to its roots in the first half of the fifth season. At least, in the new season, we’re seeing all the characters together and their storylines mixed together, unlike the fourth season. That season has been re-edited, and it’s actually much better.
I’m expecting the second half to be even better, especially if the show goes full true crime satire like I’m expecting. There’s so much potential there, as we’ve seen with countless shows and movies, including Netflix’s American Vandal.
Netflix’s See What’s Next Twitter account also shared a few new images from the season, and we have shared that tweet with the new images below.
That’s all we know about Arrested Development’s return so far! Be prepared for the trailer sometime in the near future.
