The Walking Dead renewed for season 10 at AMC

The Walking Dead is coming back for season 10 at AMC. The network announced the renewal of their most popular show on social media recently.

In the least surprising news of the week, The Walking Dead season 10 is officially happening at AMC. The network shared the news this week, according to a report from TV Line. Showrunner Angela Kang shared a renewal video/teaser on Instagram, and we have shared that video below.

According to the report, The Walking Dead season 10 will be released in October 2019. Episodes will air on Sundays throughout the rest of 2019 and 2020. Currently, The Walking Dead is in the middle of its ninth season. The season 9 midseason premiere is scheduled for Feb. 9 on AMC.

The new season, like every season so far, will be available to stream on Netflix after it airs on AMC. We don’t know when season 10 will hit Netflix, but we’ll let you know sooner to the premiere date of the season.

As mentioned, AMC did not announce when exactly season 10 would premiere. They did, however, mention the new season will premiere in October which is right in line with the premiere date for the previous nine seasons.

There was no doubt that The Walking Dead would be back for season 10 at AMC. This show remains one of the most popular shows on TV and streaming services. It seems crazy, but as the TV Line report mentions, this series will probably last another 10 years at least. This world is simply too big for AMC to ever pull the plug on it.

The first eight seasons of the series are available to stream on Netflix, and season 9 should be on the way sometime this year. Usually, the previous season is released about two weeks to a month before the new season premieres. Expect season 9 to be released on Netflix in September or early October at the latest.
